In the last decade, much progress has been made in using return on investment (ROI) as an important metric for human resource managers. Government agencies now attempt to show the value of all types of human resource projects and programs.
This briefing will highlight the progress made, the challenges faced and the outlook for ROI use in the future. Benefits of measuring HR's ROI include better budgets for HR, expansion of successful HR programs and elimination of unsuccessful ones, and better relationships with executives and middle managers who need to understand HR's value.
Come join us for breakfast with AMACOM’s author and renowned expert on HR accountability Dr. Jack Phillips who will give you the tools to develop the ROI methodology and a talent management assessment.
Laurie Broderick, Director of Customer Relationship Marketing, will open the meeting with a brief overview of AMA's Talent Management Assessment System (TMAS)—a talent and leadership development solution with proven results.
After attending this session, participants should be
able to:
- Learn ways to increase productivity, reduce turnover, develop leadership bench strength while creating the basis for effective, useful and reliable succession planning
- Describe the rationale for ROI use in HR in the public sector
- Identify the challenges and issues involved in making ROI a sustainable HR tool
