Driving Growth through Strategic Partnering

On June 16, 2006, AMA held an Executive Forum in partnership with Cisco Systems designed to share the skills, abilities and knowledge of Cisco and several other corporate experts in strategic alliances. Morning and afternoon sessions were held at the AMA Executive Management Center in New York City. The program offered a blueprint for developing partnering as a core competency.
In the morning session, “Driving Growth Through Strategic Partnering,” the audience heard from speakers Simon Hayes, Senior Director of Strategic Alliances for Cisco Systems; Cheryl Jones, Director of National Accounts for Starbucks Coffee Company; and Marty J. Kooistra, Vice President of collaborations and Strategic Partnerships, Habitat for Humanity.
In the afternoon session, “Roadmap for Partnering Successon , Simon Hayes of Cisco Systems was joined by Norma Watenpaugh, founding principal of Phoenix Consulting Group; Jeanne Murtaugh, Director of Strategy for BNY Securities Group; Snehal Desai, commercial Vice President of NatureWorks, LLC; and Andrew S. Eibling, Alliance Manager for Eli Lilly and Company.
Besides individual presentations, each session included a panel discussion during which members of the audience could ask the speakers questions.
